For Pakistan’s Independence Day, I wanted to create something more meaningful than a simple AI portrait.

I wanted to create a short cinematic cultural video that celebrated the beauty and diversity of Pakistan through traditional clothing, regional environments, movement, and emotion — while still keeping myself as the main character throughout the experience.

So I built a workflow using AI across three clear steps:

1. **Create the cultural prompts in ChatGPT**
2. **Generate the five regional portraits**
3. **Turn those portraits into cinematic video clips**

The final concept was simple:

**Pakistan flag at the start → Punjab → Sindh → Khyber Pakhtunkhwa → Balochistan → Kashmir → Pakistan flag at the end → “Happy Independence Day”**

What made the process work was not just the tools, but the structure.

And because so many people asked how I made it, I’m sharing the exact process below — **including the prompts**.

## Step 1: Use ChatGPT to Create the Cultural Concepts

The first thing I did was go to ChatGPT and explain the idea clearly.

I did not ask for a generic “Pakistani video.” I explained that I wanted to create a **Pakistan Independence Day cultural reel** featuring multiple regions of Pakistan, each with its own traditional styling, environment, and mood.

The key lesson here is simple:

**Better prompts create better outputs.**

If your idea is vague, the images will feel vague too.

So I asked ChatGPT to help me break the project into separate regional scenes.

Once the regional concepts were ready, I moved to image generation.

The Pinterest references helped me ground the look of the outfit, colors, embroidery, jewelry, and environment more effectively.

This is especially useful when you want more accurate cultural styling.

For each region, I uploaded:

* **my own photo**
* **the cultural reference image**
* **the prompt**

Then I asked ChatGPT to generate a transformed image that preserved my face while changing the rest.

That “preserve the face” instruction is critical if you want the same person to appear consistently across multiple regions.

Once the five portraits were ready, I needed to animate them.

This is the step that transforms the project from “AI-generated images” into an actual cinematic reel.

So I went back to ChatGPT and created **motion prompts** for each image.

The biggest mistake people make in image-to-video prompting is describing only how the subject looks, instead of describing **how the scene moves**.

That means you need to specify:

* walking
* turning
* twirling
* fabric movement
* camera motion
* background cultural action
* environmental motion
* emotional tone

This is what gives the video life.

## The Master Video Prompt

Here’s the type of video prompt I used to animate each cultural portrait:

What I really liked about this process is that each tool had a clear role.

And once you understand that workflow, you can create far more intentional and polished results.

## What I’d Improve Next Time

If I do this again, I would spend more time on transitions between scenes.

For example:

* Punjab could transition through phulkari fabric
* Sindh through Ajrak motion
* Khyber Pakhtunkhwa through a shawl reveal or mountain pan
* Balochistan through embroidered fabric or desert wind
* Kashmir through mist, water, or a moving shawl

I would also keep the camera language even more consistent across all clips so the final sequence feels more like one directed film.
